What are the school demographics?

The state tracks the race and ethnicity of students to evaluate how schools are serving groups who have been historically discriminated against, with a focus on identifying and addressing continued inequities in student experiences and outcomes. Why this matters

Texas serves more than 5.5 million students, operating the second-largest public school system in the U.S. and educating one of the most diverse student populations in the country. Enrollment trends suggest the student population will soon be majority Hispanic.
